I uncovered a dark family secret. I had a twin brother who just after we were born was given/sold to a cult of rabbis my mother had been involved with in her twenties. It was never talked about and my mother carried the painful burden all these years. I came upon a picture of a man that my mother said she had met recently but didn't even think that it might be him.
