There was a conspiracy involving my uncles and Future Shop to kill my dad.
My sister was a mermaid. I never saw her fins but I returned her to the community pool and swimming lesson where I found her. When I entered the pool (because I didn't want to see her go), the floating ice (with penguins perched upon them) started to sink. It had something to do with me but I don't think I figured it out. I think it occurred to me that I might be Jesus, but something didn't fit. I think someone else walked on water. Or was it me? I can't remember. My sister said something about telling Shawn about her plentiful sex toys. She wanted to swim away. I held on to her, I didn't want to let her go. Finally I let go. She swam away, deep into the pool (ocean?). I was sad. This guy, one of the swimming instructors grinned at me. I didn't like him.
I gave birth to a baby girl. I never met her as my mother looked after her. Then just before I arranged a meeting with my dad to inform him of the conspiracy against him, I was introduced to my baby. She spoke the future. She also had really pretty dark hair and eyes. I stroked her soft hair and cheek. It felt strange to be a mother.
My hair was long and straight and blonde. I couldn't go to school like that. So I dyed it brown, but it only took half way. Then I just looked silly. I dyed the rest of it.

Hours of Sleep: 8
I wanted to go to the "other world" again. Apparently I had been there on numerous occasions. (Other dreams, perhaps?) I wanted to show my sister and bring her along so I lead her to the strange little computer booth (which was dark and had what seemed like an ATM machine). I think the booth was in a public bathroom somewhere and I initially tried to find it in the womens section and failed, forcing me to enter quickly into the mens washroom, running from stall to stall with my head down.
The secret was to think really hard about how you would shape the other world, shape it in any way you like, inserting all your wildest dreams. After you sufficiently thought about what you would like to see the other world to be, you were to approach the machine and tell it where you would like to go. The screen would then change from it's usual financial questionary to much more personal and strangely eery questions. You would touch the screen "yes" or "no" to each of the questions of the questionnaire and then, still thinking hard about the world you are going to, you would dive directly into the screen.
I went first and easily dove into the screen and arrived at scene on top of a roof somewhere. It was warm and breezy and in the centre of the vast concrete space was a sparkling pool and several people sitting along its edge. My sister appeared suddenly beside me, having apparently been successful at diving into the ATM machine.
The first thing that struck me about this other world was that when you inhaled (which was the first thing we did) the scene around us was entirely in greyscale. When we exhaled, for the duration of that exhalation and in accordance with the pressure of our exhale (so at the beginning of the exhale we exhaled with more pressure than at the end of it when we had run out of air) the scene around us with shine with vivid colour and then fade to greyscale again when our exhale had died.
We spent the first while searching for colourful flowers in bags along the side wall which apparently where ours (we had gotten some message that our first task was to find these flowers). It was difficult and we had quite a bit of stuff that was flowery in design, but we couldn't quite decide whether we had found the correct item.
Impatient, my sister wanted to go elsewhere so we went downstairs to a party of aristrocratic friends of my grandmother. Seated around a small dining table we introduced ourselves. We were greeted with enthusiasm and they seemed to be excited by the fact that the filmmaker and the actress had finally arrived. My friend Evan appeared next to me and there was someone very specific I was to introduce him to (perhaps someone who could help us financially with a film we were making?). But Evan showed little interest and wandered off somewhere lost in a cellphone conversation. After introducing myself to the rest of the party, I, curious where he went, followed him into a strange little corner of the "apartment" where I found him on couch by a fire, wrapped up in a soft blanket and fast asleep.

Hours of Sleep: 14.
We were driving in Montreal. Mari was in the drivers seat, I was in shot gun and my brother was passed out in the back. We were exhausted after a full weekend of vacationing. It was Monday morning and we figured we wanted to get one last thing into our weekend before heading back to Toronto. Mari suggested we attend the local ball before we left (we had to be on the road by 10am). I thought it was cutting it close but agreed. We couldn't decide whether we should stop to get something to eat before going back to the hostel or afterwards. For some reason we never really figured it out and went back to the hostel anyway to get changed into our formal gowns.
By this point my brother had transformed into my sister, also who remained asleep. We walked through the stark hospital-like hallways of the hostel, curtains blocking doorways instead of doors. It was very quiet. For a few minutes I actually believed I lived there and we made it to my room which was larger than the others, completely plastic looking (like material used for really poor quality bathtubs) and enough room for a bed (which wasn't there) and what seemed a lot of room to swing your arms around.
Strange how descriptive it was since it ceased to exist almost as soon as we entered it and we were putting our stuff down in an actual hotel suite which was nicer than anything I've ever actually been in. My sister continued to sleep on the couch. Mari and I got dressed into elegant sequent covered gowns.
Around the corner we heard some noise (around the corner in our suite, there wasn't a door). We peers around and discovered the suite next door to us. I made some comment to Mari that I bet they had hired a prostitute...Mari smiled and decided she was curious to find out. She peeked around the corner and came back grinning mischievously, nodding affirmation to my prediction. Apparently there was a circle of men surrounding a woman on her knees, but we couldn't see much more than that (although we guessed what was happening).
All of a sudden the scene changed and all the men turned into Christian monks and we recognized a couple of them as high ranking bishops from the Catholic Church and possibly even the Pope himself, but we couldn't tell for sure. Instead of the woman we had previously seen, we, to our horror, saw a lineup of young boys who had been captured against their will. What proceeded was the most devastating and disgusting scene of genital mutilation and horrific sex acts that left both me and mari vomiting and shaking with fear. We noticed a couple of the monks circling the premises, each with a gun in visible sight. Our hearts dropped to our stomachs and we froze with fear. For some reason (I hadn't noticed until that moment) that I was holding a ripped piece of paper. It scrunched in my hand, making a what seemed incredibly loud crumpling sound. Panicking, Mari and I scurried back round the corner to our own suite, trying to hide. Just as we arrived to a couch in our suite one of the monks came running round the corner, the gun pointed right at us. I thought quickly and stammered out something like "Oh...silly us, we just woke up. We must have been lying on this piece of newspaper". I then glanced at my sleeping sister as if to prove that we were also sleeping. The monk breathed a sigh of relief and smiled. He put the gun down and went back to the next room.
